The Pipeliners Association of Houston currently has approximately over 700 members. This includes representatives from major oil and gas companies, contractors and supply companies which are actively engaged in the design, engineering, operation and maintenance, manufacturing or sale of equipment or material for use in onshore and offshore construction, exploration and development of pipelines.
Per Article II of the By-Laws, there are three (3) definitions of Members:
1. INDUSTRY MEMBER
An "Industry Member” shall be actively engaged in design, engineering, operation or maintenance of pipe lines or pipe line equipment.
2. SUPPLIER MEMBER
A "Supplier Member” shall be actively engaged in the sale of equipment or material for pipe line use and shall further be qualified through experience or education.
3. LIFE MEMBER
A "Life Member” will be awarded to any member who: a) attains age 65, b) is retired from active full-time employment, c) has been an active member in the Association for the previous 5 years and d) applies to Secretary in writing stating he meets these requirements. "Life Members” will be exempt from paying annual dues and this category will not be included in the 50% "Supplier Member” calculation.
